Deferendum Community Links · WordPress

Your website. The discussion, one click away.

Give your association’s website a clear entry point to its Deferendum group, concern or decision. Members participate in the app with their own account.

Download plugin 0.2.1 →How it works

Deferendum’s own ZIP, GPL v2 or later. Submitted to WordPress.org; directory review is pending, not an approval.

A simple link. Not a second database.

Gutenberg block or shortcode

Add the “Deferendum Community Link” block or use the shortcode in the Classic editor.

Five visitor languages

Cards and destinations support Romanian, English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. Editor controls are in English.

Access stays in Deferendum

No plugin API keys or passwords. Discussions, votes and sessions are not copied into WordPress.

How it works

  1. Install the ZIP

In WordPress: Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin. Choose the ZIP, install and activate it. Try a test site first.

  2. Add your destination

Insert the block, paste an existing group, concern or decision link and choose a language. Only supported links from app.deferendum.com are accepted.

  3. Preview before publishing

Check the card and open its destination. Publishing a shareable invitation requires a separate confirmation that you have permission.

Using the Classic editor?

Replace “your-group” with the identifier in your actual group link. This example does not give visitors access.

Frequently asked questions

Which versions are required?

WordPress 6.3 or newer and PHP 8.0 or newer. The plugin version is 0.2.1.

Why is the card blank?

Unknown, sign-in, administration and tracking URLs are rejected. An unconfigured block does not show a misleading button.

Does the plugin automatically send data?

No. It does not automatically fetch Deferendum content or add tracking cookies. Clicking opens the app; the WordPress site’s policy and the app’s policy apply separately.

What does GPL cover?

Only the WordPress plugin code. It does not include the hosted app, backend, native apps or community data.
