New Deferendum Editor

As a newly named group Editor, you have been entrusted with the responsibility of maximizing the Deferendum app’s potential and ensuring that your group reaches its full potential. Here’s a step-by-step guide that will help you:

Familiarize yourself with Deferendum terminology: Before you begin, it’s critical to familiarize yourself with the terms and definitions used in the Deferendum app. This knowledge will allow you to effectively communicate with other members and make the most out of the app’s features.

Understand the roles of the preliminary and main stages: The preliminary stage is where any member of the group can raise new problems and solutions and vote on the seriousness of the issues. As a group Editor, you must assess the problems presented in the preliminary stage, rank them by urgency, and formulate a Deferendum question for the main stage. The main stage is where the Editor publishes a Deferendum question presenting the proposed solution to the problems discovered in the preliminary stage that have been ranked with the highest urgency.

Extract problems and solutions from the preliminary stage: As an Editor, your primary responsibility is to extract the most pressing problems and solutions discussed in the preliminary stage. Identify the top problems and solutions that require the most urgent attention, based on the number of votes and member input.

Formulate a Deferendum question: Once you’ve identified the most pressing problems and solutions, it’s time to formulate a Deferendum question. Your question should be clear and concise, with a straightforward “yes” or “no” answer. Make sure that the question reflects the issues raised in the preliminary stage and is relevant to the group’s objectives.

Publish the Deferendum question: After formulating a Deferendum question, publish it in the main stage for the group members to vote. Ensure that you set a deadline for voting and communicate it to the group members.

Encourage group members to participate: As an Editor, you should actively encourage group members to participate in the discussion and voting process. Prompt them to share their opinions and provide arguments for or against the proposed solution. Ensure that you are available to address any concerns or questions that members might have.

Evaluate arguments and comments: Arguments and comments are critical components of the Deferendum app. As an Editor, you must evaluate the arguments and comments presented by group members. Encourage members to like or dislike arguments and comments, based on their validity and relevance to the Deferendum question.

By following these guidelines, you can effectively use the Deferendum app and help your group reach its full potential.
